Why a Digital Fast?
As we ask Jesus to increase our faith in 2026, we need to resist what gets in the way of us and Jesus. For most of us, we need to look no further than the most distracting relationship in our life—that of us to our phones. As our first act of faith this year, we are embarking on a 40 day digital fast, starting 1/11 and running until 2/20. A digital fast is a deliberate, time-limited break from digital technology—especially devices and platforms designed to capture attention, such as smartphones, social media, email, streaming services, or news apps. As we turn our eyes from unnecessary and unfulfilling things online, we will create space to turn our eyes to Jesus in prayer and worship. We will have the attentiveness to see where Jesus is inviting us to grow in our faith and where he is calling us to serve those around us in his name.
72-Hour Prayer Room
During the digital fast, we will be opening up the prayer room for a 72 hour prayer stretch from 1/16-18 where we can constantly be crying out to Jesus to increase our faith in 2026. We have set the goal to have one or more people from the church praying every hour during that stretch, so we need you to sign up and take a slot.
